BBB Mediation is a program through which both parties involved in a marketplace dispute meet face-to-face in a neutral location and are assisted by a trained mediator in finding a mutually agreeable resolution to their dispute. There is a fee for mediation services for non-member businesses.

BBB Binding Arbitration is a program through which marketplace disputes between businesses and their customers may be resolved. In this informal process, both sides are heard by a professionally trained arbitrator. The arbitrator weighs the evidence and makes a decision which is binding on both parties. There is a fee for parties who are not members of the bureau.
